Rupert sat down with Cosmetic Scientist Mateja Weber, Head of Science and Innovation at skincare brand Romilly Wilde, to discuss how to create the perfect base for your makeup. 

 

STEP 1: CLEANSE

Order of application is key! If you choose to layer skincare products then always apply from the thinnest to the thickest consistency, starting with lighter products like serums, and working your way up to thicker creams. It’s important to allow sufficient time between applying each product to allow absorption, prevent pilling and to create the perfect canvas for makeup application. It’s best to leave at least a few minutes between each product and gently pat into your skin for the best results.
