Climate Action Plan
Our Commitment
At delilah, we recognise that climate change is one of the most significant environmental challenges facing society and business today.
As a certified B Corporation, we are committed to conducting business responsibly, reducing our environmental impact and supporting the global ambition of limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
As an independent beauty brand, we recognise that many of our environmental impacts occur throughout our wider value chain. This Climate Action Plan establishes the framework through which delilah will measure, manage and continually improve its environmental performance while supporting our long-term transition towards net zero emissions.
Understanding Our Impact
delilah is a UK-based beauty brand that develops and markets cosmetic products through a network of specialist manufacturing, packaging and logistics partners.
Whilst we do not own manufacturing facilities or warehouse operations, we recognise that our environmental responsibilities extend throughout our supply chain.
In 2024, delilah completed an independent organisational carbon footprint assessment to establish a baseline understanding of greenhouse gas emissions and identify priority areas for improvement. The assessment identified a total organisational footprint of 106.55 tonnes CO₂e, with the most significant emissions associated with:
- Postal and courier services
- Warehouse operations
- Packaging materials and purchased goods
These findings provide the foundation for this Climate Action Plan and will continue to inform future environmental priorities and decision-making
Our Climate Strategy
Our approach is built around three key principles:
1. Measure
We will continue to improve our understanding of environmental impacts through the collection, monitoring and review of environmental performance data.
This includes:
- Organisational carbon emissions
- Energy consumption
- Waste generation
- Water consumption
We will continue working with our operational partners and suppliers to improve the quality and availability of environmental data over time.
2. Improve
We will seek opportunities to reduce the environmental impacts associated with our products, packaging and operations.
This includes:
- Increasing the use of recycled and recyclable packaging materials where technically and commercially feasible
- Reducing unnecessary material use
- Supporting circular economy principles
- Improving resource efficiency wherever practical
3. Influence
As an asset-light business, many of delilah’s most significant environmental impacts occur within our supply chain.
We will therefore work collaboratively with manufacturers, packaging suppliers, logistics providers and other operational partners to encourage continuous environmental improvement.
Environmental performance will form part of the evaluation criteria for significant procurement decisions and ongoing supplier engagement activities.
